Veterans I
After last week’s news stories concerning the Veterans Affairs office, my office received a handful of calls from concerned citizens. They wanted to make sure that Saskatoon-area vets were getting the government services that they needed. Talking to these constituents reminded me that unless you have dealt with Veterans Affairs, you have no idea what programs are out there or what services are available for vets. My interest in this issue predates my time as an MP to when my older brother, a former infantry officer, had his troubles getting his disability pension that Veterans Affairs refused him. So over the next few weeks, my columns are going to talk about government programs that are available for our vets, the changes that have been made, who our vets are, and where services can be reached.
So stay tuned, or check out my website where my columns are posted each and every month. I’m Brad Trost, Member of Parliament for Saskatoon-Humboldt and I’m working for you. For more information check out my website at bradtrost.ca.
