Mar 5 – Income Splitting for Families

This year introduces income splitting for families. This follows income splitting for pensioners. What has been interesting this time is the criticism that this tax cut only benefits fifteen percent of households. Income splitting is a good concept and over a lifetime, most Canadians will pay lower taxes because of it. The critics should be honest. They want higher taxes – not just for families with children – they want higher taxes for all Canadians. I’m Brad Trost, Member of Parliament.
