Cooperation
June 12, 2014 – Saskatoon Bridge Funding
One of the things that MPs appreciate is cooperation from other government officials. When we have good working relationships we can be more effective. Case and point: the federal government money for the two new bridges in Saskatoon. For the last few months I have been in regular, at times weekly, contact with Mayor Don Atchinson, and councilor Randy Donauer. Working together we were able to get the funding approved for Saskatoon in a mere 8 weeks after city council applied for the funds. While Councilor Donauer and Mayor Atchinson are the two most recent examples, many other municipal officials have worked helpfully over the years in cooperation to bring projects to their communities. So as the Member of Parliament for Saskatoon-Humboldt, let me say thank you to the mayors, reeves, and councilors who cooperate with me to help build their communities.
I’m Brad Trost, Member of Parliament for Saskatoon-Humboldt and I’m working for you. For more information, check out my website at bradtrost.ca.
