This week I have been having the privilege of attending citizenship ceremonies. It’s always enjoyable to listen to people tell about why they chose Canada, because that’s a key point to understand. Almost all new Canadians come to join something wonderful; not to change Canada into something they left behind. These new Canadians I’m seeing this week are fiercely proud of their country and they don’t take their citizenship for granted, and neither should you.
