Summer Schedule
June 24th, 2009
Parliament is out this week for the summer so I will be able to be in Saskatoon-Humboldt during the week and not just on weekends. Here is a partial list of confirmed events that I will be attending from the end of June until early August. If you want to chat with me in person, put these dates on your calendar.
Humboldt Parade: June 26
Humboldt BBQ : July 21 (outside my Humboldt office at the mall)
Bruno Cherry Festival and 100th Anniversary celebration: July 26
Quill Lake BBQ at Quill Lake golf course: July 30 (suppertime)
Wakaw Parade: August 1st
At this point my office is also organizing announcements throughout the riding in conjunction with the provincial and municipal governments. Throughout July, I will be presenting cheques to mayors and reeves to fund local water and municipal building projects. In addition to these announcements, I hope to coordinate some coffee shop Meet and Greet events. Watch for the dates and times of these Meet and Greets as well.
I also have sent out an open invitation to have breakfast meetings with all town and RM councils throughout the summer. Encourage your reeve or mayor to accept this offer so that both levels of government can work better together.
I hope you enjoy your summer with your family. My column will return in September. I look forward to seeing you in person at these and many other events this summer.
I’m Brad Trost your Member of Parliament in Saskatoon-Humboldt. You can call my office in Saskatoon at 975-6133 or drop by our two offices to visit: Saskatoon Monday-Friday or Humboldt Tuesday and Wednesday. I always appreciate your feedback.
